Is Jana Kramer joining "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills?" She could be.

During the July 14 episode of the podcast "Whine Down with Jana Kramer and Michael Caussin," the country singer and actress revealed to "Real Housewives of New Jersey" stars Melissa and Joe Gorga, that she and her husband, Michael Caussin, auditioned to join the Bravo reality series.

"I was going to say something, but I wasn't sure if I could say it," Kramer began. "We might have auditioned for a certain Housewives thing, but we haven't heard back yet."

If Kramer and Caussin were to join the series, they could work their way up to a major payday--eventually. As newcomers, they probably would not make so much, which begs the question: How much money does a new "Housewife" make?

Given that the franchise spans over a wide array of people and cities, the starting pay surely varies, but based on the salaries that two of the most popular personalities have revealed, it's likely not a whole lot.

"RHONY" alum Bethenny Frankel admitted she only made $7,350 for her first season, while "RHOC" alum Vicki Gunvalson spilled that she was unpaid for her first season, and then upped to $35,000 for Season 2.

Given that Kramer and Caussin are already known in their own right for their respective careers in music and sports, it would make sense that they would receive some sort of compensation, though how much remains to be seen.

As far as how the process of getting cast on the show goes, Kramer explained that the audition occurred while in quarantine and it consisted of two phone calls. The first call she did by herself and for the second call her husband, Michael Caussin, joined in.

"We did the whole FaceTime, Zoom thing. It was at the end of May. It's been like over a month," she said.

Despite going through the process, Kramer admitted that she has her reservations about potentially holding a diamond.

"I would be so afraid that we'd be eaten alive and spit out and then like canceled the next day," the 36-year-old shared. "I get hated on a lot because I'm very sarcastic. I wouldn't want to filter myself too much ... I have a hard time with criticism and people not liking me, so I don't know how I could physically handle that."

Currently, Kramer and Caussin live in Nashville, so if they were to join "RHOBH" they would move back to the west coast.

"We lived there before we came back to Nashville," Caussin shared.

"We would just do like part-time," Kramer chimed in, adding that she already has a friend in Teddi Mellencamp, who has been a "Housewife" since Season 8. However, whether or not the gal pals will be seeing more of each other is still up in the air.

"Teddi is a friend, but I have not heard anything, so I'm sure it's not going any further," Kramer said.
