‘Jane The Virgin’ Season 3 Spoilers: What Happens Next After Michael’s Death? Series Stars Provide Clues

The characters from “Jane the Virgin” have no choice but to pick up the pieces and move on after Michael Cordero (Brett Dier) sadly passed away in the latest episode, “Chapter Fifty-Four.”

It goes without saying that the one who will struggle with his death the most is his wife, now widow, Jane Gloriana Villanueva (Gina Rodriguez). But what will happen in “Chapter Fifty-Five”? The show’s stars have provided some clues on what to expect in the next episode.

Rodriguez posted a photo on her Instagram page showing her and Yael Grobglas hanging out with the child actors of “Jane the Virgin.” The photo seems to indicate that Jane will devote most of her time to motherhood, like Petra Solano (Grobglas) did after her former husband, Rafael Solano (Justin Baldoni), went to jail.

As for Baldoni, he posted a photo collage on his Instagram. The photo showed his character with two women: Petra and a mystery woman played by Minka Kelly. He said this “post prison” Rafael looks pretty “stressed” and “annoyed,” but for what reason?

After Michael died, some fans began questioning whether or not Jane and Rafael would rekindle their romance. When one fan asked journalist Michael Ausiello from TV Line about it, he answered, “His body is barely cold. Are you heartless?”

Ausiello added that Jane won’t be seeing anybody new for a while, and Rafael seems to have already met someone else. “If you’re like me, you’re probably wondering how long it’ll be before Jane starts boning Rafael. Well, based on what I’m hearing about Monday’s episode, you may have to wait a while. Turns out Rafael spent the intervening three years doing time and doing a new lady,” he said.
