Jason Momoa had a great time at the "Batman" premiere afterparty in New York City Tuesday.

The "Aquaman" star, 42, attended the "Batman" premiere to support his stepdaughter, Zoë Kravitz. He was spotted bonding with Kravitz's boyfriend, Channing Tatum, at the premiere of the latest DC Comics film on Tuesday.

Kravitz, 33, plays Selina Kyle/Catwoman opposite Robert Pattinson's titular role. Momoa split from Kravitz's mom, Lisa Bonet, in January after nearly five years of marriage and being together for 16 years. However, he has remained close to Kravitz and struck a close friendship with the "Magic Mike" actor.

Momoa and Tatum, 41, were snapped at the afterparty by photographer Jason Roman. In one picture, Momoa was seen resting his hand on Tatum's back. There were also candid shots of Pattinson, comedian Dave Chappelle, producer Corey Smyth, and rapper Busta Rymes. Momoa shared some snaps from the event on Instagram.

At the event, Momoa was asked about Kravitz and Tatum's romance. He described the "Dog" star as a "wonderful" person and was very supportive of their relationship.

"Oh yeah," Momoa told PEOPLE (The TV Show!)'s Jeremy Parsons when asked whether he approved of Tatum as Kravitz's boyfriend. "He's wonderful. ... She's a big girl."

An unnamed source told People following Momoa's split from Bonet that "he loves Zoë and always has." The "Dune" star's relationship with Bonet's daughter has remained the same even if he is no longer with the "Cosby Show" star.

"That hasn't changed. He believes in family. He's always said that, and him going [to the premiere] is to show support for the family. That's what he does. And that's who he is. It's not more complicated than that," the tipster added.

The insider noted that even if Momoa had a tight schedule, he made an extra effort to be there for the "Big Little Lies" star, whose biological dad is Lenny Kravitz. Momoa shares a close bond with Bonet's ex-husband and Kravitz's dad.

"Family comes before anything for him," the source said. "He's also close to Lenny. It's all very comfortable with Jason. That's who he is."

Meanwhile, another source also spoke about the "Mad Max: Fury Road" star's closeness to Momoa following her mom and the "Justice League" actor's split.

"Zoë is very close to Lisa and will be of great support as she navigates through this," an unnamed source told E! News. "She also really likes Jason and has a good relationship with him so it's all very sad that this chapter is closing. She loves them both but understands that it was time for them to move on."
