  • Affleck and Garner's children are friends with Lopez's kids, according to the report
  • The three stars reportedly all wanted their kids to have "an amazing Halloween"

Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck proved once again that they're friendly exes after the actress joined her ex-husband and his girlfriend Jennifer Lopez for trick-or-treating over the weekend.

The "Justice League" star, 49, and Lopez, 52, were taking their respective kids trick-or-treating in Malibu, California, Sunday when Garner, 49, joined them for the festivities, People reported.

Affleck and Garner also spent time with their children at Huckleberry café in Santa Monica earlier that day, according to the report.

"Everyone gets along and the focus is always on the kids. Jennifer, Ben and Jen Garner all wanted the kids to have an amazing Halloween," an unnamed source told the outlet. "The kids are friends and wanted to go trick-or-treating together. It made sense that they all went together."

The insider added, "Ben is working today again, so they wanted to enjoy a family weekend."

The exes share three children: Violet, 15, Seraphina, 12, and Samuel, 9. They wed in June 2005 and announced their separation in June 2015. They settled their divorce in October 2018.

Meanwhile, Lopez, 52, shares 13-year-old twins Max and Emme with ex-husband Marc Anthony, to whom she was married from June 2004 to July 2011.

Affleck dated Lopez before he met Garner. They first met in 2001 when they were both cast in the movie "Gigli" and got engaged the following year. They postponed their big day in 2003 and eventually called off their wedding in early 2004.

Lopez and Affleck rekindled their romance in April before going Instagram official in July for the singer's birthday.

An unnamed insider previously told People they "are in it for the long run" after the two brought their respective children to the Magic Castle in L.A.

Back in May, Affleck paid tribute to Garner for Mother's Day, sharing never-before-seen photos of his ex-wife with their children, including a family photo from a past Halloween holiday for which he dressed as the Tin Man.

"So happy to share these kids with you. Luckiest parents in the world," he wrote on Instagram. "Thanks for all the good you do. Happy Mother's Day. Love, their Dad."

The "Way Back" star also previously told People that he feels "very lucky" that Garner is the mother of his kids. Affleck explained that while their marriage didn't work out, both he and Garner believe it's "important for kids to see their parents respect one another and get along, whether they're together or not."

Meanwhile, Garner also rekindled her romance with an ex earlier this year. An unnamed source told Us Weekly in May that the actress got back together with ex-boyfriend John Miller less than a year after their split.

The pair has kept their romance private, but following their reconciliation, they have been spotted multiple times in public. They were last seen together grabbing coffee in New York City in May.
