  • Jennifer Garner didn't mention her ex-husband, Ben Affleck

Jennifer Garner just revealed all of the things that she’s looking forward to this year, and it doesn’t include her ex-husband, Ben Affleck.

While speaking with People, the “13 Going On 30” star said that she’s excited for the new decade because it feels like a fresh start. She is also grateful for her project with Netflix, and she’s looking forward to its release.

On a more personal level, Garner said that have at least another year with her three beautiful and healthy children, Violet, Seraphina, and Samuel, her parents, sisters, nieces, nephews, and friends is good enough for her.

However, the “Peppermint” star didn’t say anything about her ex-husband. Garner and Affleck announced their divorce in 2015, and even though they are no longer together, they continue to co-parent their three children.

Garner has also decided to stay friends with Affleck for the sake of their kids. She told Vanity Fair in 2016 that seeing her kids’ reaction whenever they would see their dad is more than enough reason for her to stay friends with her ex-husband.

Meanwhile, one of the reasons why Garner and Affleck split had to with the latter’s alleged cheating scandal. Affleck reportedly hooked up with his children’s nanny, Christine Ouzounian.

Garner didn’t directly address Affleck’s affair but she denied that it was the main reason why they called it quits. According to the “Alias” star, she and Affleck had already been separated for months before the news about the nanny broke.

Despite the shocking allegations, Garner forgave Affleck for his wrongdoings.

“People have pain — they do regrettable things, they feel shame, and shame equals pain. No one needs to hate him for me. I don't hate him. Certainly, we don’t have to beat the guy up. Don’t worry — my eyes were wide open during the marriage. I’m taking good care of myself,” she said.
