‘Jersey Shore’s’ Nicole ‘Snooki’ Polizzi Has COVID-19: ‘This Is Super Scary’

“Jersey Shore” alum Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi revealed on Valentine's Day that she has tested positive for COVID-19.

The 33-year-old reality star took to Instagram Sunday to share two photos, one of which showed her posing with a bouquet of white and red roses in a black sweater, pink pajama bottoms and a mask. In her caption, Polizzi opened up about her COVID-19 diagnosis and how she has been doing since testing positive for the virus.

“Happy Valentine’s Day! This [one’s] a bit different. I have Covid. I’ve been isolated in my room since I found out. My family & I have been super cautious & careful, so this is super scary,” she wrote.

“My symptoms started out as just a bad sinus cold. Headache, stuffy nose & mild cough. Then I felt super tired and ended up napping all day which made me go get tested,” she continued.

The “Jersey Shore: Family Vacation” star went on to reveal that she currently feels “groggy” and admitted to losing her sense of taste and smell on Saturday.

“It’s fricken weird. I had a greasy cheese pizza & couldn’t taste a damn thing. WHAT A SIN,” she continued.

She confirmed that the rest of her family tested negative for the coronavirus and she has isolated herself.

Polizzi concluded her post by assuring her Instagram followers that she is OK and urging everyone to stay safe amid the pandemic.

Celebrities such as Nikki Bella and fellow “Jersey Shore” alums Pauly D, Jenni “JWoww” Farley and Vinny Guadagnino wished her a speedy recovery. Polizzi’s fans also left encouraging messages in her post, with one suggesting drinking lots of ginger tea to stay hydrated.

Due to her current condition, Polizzi has to stay away from her three kids with husband, Jionni LaValle -- Lorenzo, Giovanna and Angelo. She had recently shared a photo with one of her children and captioned it: “My favorite part of each day is cuddling my babies #LuckyMawma #Blessed.”

Aside from “Jersey Shore,” Polizzi also starred in the spinoff show, “Snooki & JWoww,” alongside Farley for four seasons from 2012 to 2015. She and the rest of the original cast, except Samantha “Sammi Sweetheart” Giancola, returned for “Jersey Shore: Family Vacation” in 2018.

In 2019, Polizzi announced in the podcast “It’s Happening With Snooki & Joey” that she is retiring from the “Jersey Shore” franchise and will not be returning for Season 4 of the reboot in order to spend more time with her kids.

In the fiction space, she was one of the famous faces who appeared in an episode of the hit show “Supernatural,” which starred Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles. Polizzi played a crossroads demon in the long-running CW series that concluded in 2020.
