Brooke Nevin and Michael Cassidy star in Hallmark Channel’s Countdown to Christmas premiere, “Jingle Around the Clock,” on Saturday.

The actress’ most recent Hallmark flick was last year’s holiday movie, “The Christmas Cure,” with Steve Byers. Meanwhile, Cassidy, who’s known for his roles on shows like “The O.C.,” “Men at Work” and “Privileged,” is making his Hallmark debut with this Christmas movie.

Here’s what fans can expect from Hallmark’s newest premiere.

“Elle Bennett (Nevin) is an ambitious ad agency executive in Chicago who is looking forward to putting together her annual ‘Misfit Christmas’ party with her close friends – a holiday tradition since their college days which is clearly important to her,” the synopsis begins. “However, difficulties at work put a kink in her plans, drawing her back to the office, where she discovers the company is bringing in another executive, Max Turner (Cassidy) from the New York office to solve the problem.”

The synopsis continues: “Concerned this new guy who she knows only from emails might put a damper on her plans for a promotion, Elle re-doubles her efforts at work, putting her Christmas party plans at risk. Despite her best effort to take control of the work situation, Elle’s boss asks her to work with Max and when they finally meet, she realizes he’s also the attractive stranger who started showing up at her local coffee house a few days ago.”

Elle and Max can’t deny the attraction they feel toward each other, but things get a bit awkward when she learns he plans to stay in the city and apply for the same job that she’s been trying to land. He’s doing it so he can be closer to his mom, which only makes Elle like him more, but it doesn’t make things less complicated.

“As the big day of their interviews approaches the two become friends and decide to let the better person win the job, but Max has other plans, which first leave Elle feeling heartbroken and betrayed, but ultimately leads to possibly the best Christmas ever,” the synopsis reveals.

The cast also features Jeremy Guilbaut (Jay) and Andrea Brooks (Oakley). Joie Botkin and Zac Hug wrote the film’s screenplay, while Paul Ziller directed.

“Jingle Around the Clock” airs on Hallmark Channel on Saturday at 8 p.m. EST.
