  • "Jujutsu Kaisen" Chapter 149 is releasing Sunday

Maki Zenin loses the fight against her father, Ogi Zenin. Now, Maki and Mai Zenin remain in captivity in "Jujutsu Kaisen" Chapter 149. The new chapter is reportedly titled "Perfect Preparation – 2."

Twitter user IDuckyx shared the leaks and summary for the new chapter. It begins with Ogi throwing Maki and Mai in a room that is used for training. The room is filled with second-grade curses.

Ogi believes the curses will attack once he is out of the room as they are afraid of him.

In "Jujutsu Kaisen" Chapter 149, Ogi leaves the room and Mai rushes to check on Maki. She checks Maki's heartbeat and is happy she is still alive.

Mai tells Maki she knew things would get this bad one day. The scene changes to the duo on a beach. Mai says that because of her injuries, what she will create will ultimately kill her.

Mai is heading toward the waters as Maki tries to stop her. Mai says the abilities of twin sorcerers are meant to grow together as they are regarded as the same person due to their technique.

However, Maki will never become stronger because Mai is not trying to improve her abilities. Mai feels that Maki will never become a stronger fighter while she is around.

At this point, Maki is still trying to stop her from going into the waters. Before going, Mai tells her to go all out and destroy it all.

The scene changes back to the room as Maki wakes up. She is holding the sword with Mai but she's already dead. Ogi notes that all the curses inside the room are defeated. When Ogi sees Maki, he is reminded of Touji. He challenges her and announces that he will prove that he is the boss of the Zenin clan.

Maki walks past Ogi, slicing his face in half and the chapter ends. It remains to be seen if there is more to the battle in "Jujutsu Kaisen" Chapter 150.

Fans can read "Jujutsu Kaisen" Chapter 149 officially on Viz and Manga Plus. The chapter will hit the stands this Sunday.
