Actress Julia Roberts took to Instagram to share a birthday tribute to her niece, Emma Roberts, who turned 31 on Thursday.

The “Pretty Woman” actress uploaded a slow-motion video of her and Emma staring seriously at the camera while blowing party horns. She wrote, "Happy Birthday Magical One! Oh how I love you. #waitforit.” Near the end of the clip, a mysterious hand throws confetti, making Julia and Emma smile.

In turn, Emma reposted the clip to her Instagram story and wrote, "Love you!!!!"

Emma’s mom, Kelly Cunningham, also wrote a sweet message to her daughter, and uploaded a carousel of baby photos of the former on her Instagram page.

Cunningham wrote: “Happy birthday my love and my force to be reckoned with. You were always up for a challenge and adventure. I beam with pride every time I think of the incredible young woman, sister and mother you’ve become.”

On her Instagram page, Emma thanked her well-wishers by posting a snap of herself in an orange swimsuit with the message, "Thank you for the birthday wishes. Feeling very grateful and loved! #31."

Emma had earlier revealed she never felt pressured to match her aunt’s success in show business.

"I never aspired to be her. I love her so much, I love her work, but I'm just doing my own thing," The “Scream Queens” alum told Tatler.

Emma told the magazine her happiest childhood memories include that of visiting her aunt on the sets of “Erin Brockovich” and “America’s Sweethearts.”

“I’d write the wardrobe tags and organize the make-up brushes and watch how they did their continuity books," she said. "I would ask questions without a filter. This industry really is 'learn as you go.'”

Emma started acting in the Nickelodeon teen sitcom “Unfabulous” where she played Addie, a musically-inclined middle school student. Later, she starred in the movies “Aquamarine,” “Nancy Drew” and “Hotel For Dogs.”

Emma is set to appear in the romantic comedy flick, “About Fate,” opposite Thomas Mann. The film follows the story of two people who find each other in a wild twist of events on a stormy New Year’s Eve.

Emma told Tatler she took a few months of maternity leave before she proceeded to work for the new movie. Her son, Rhodes Robert Hedlund, was born in December 2020.
