Things have gone from bad to worse between exes Kailyn Lowry and Javi Marroquin. The expectant mother of two has filed a protection from abuse order against her former husband.

Javi, 24, maintains that he did not get physical with Kailyn. He told Radar Online she sought the order because he “harassed her via text.” Javi claims he sent repeated messages to Kailyn about their divorce and “guy stuff.”

“I signed a consent PFA, which means there’s no evidence of abuse,” he said. “I just can’t contact her unless it’s in regards to Lincoln for a year.”

Javi assured the publication he would never put his hands on her. The “Teen Mom 2” star’s rep would not reveal the reason she ordered the PFA, but alluded to it having to do with her kids’ safety.

“They didn’t look for abuse and it wasn’t even a question since Javi signed the consent. Kail’s first priority is and always will be her children,” the rep said. “We ask all to please respect Kail’s privacy during this difficult time.”

One day earlier, Kailyn addressed she and Javi’s contentious relationship on “TM2: Live!” (via Us Weekly) with Nessa. She revealed that she had confided in ex Jo Rivera about her recent pregnancy, but could not do so with Javi. Kailyn said she and her ex-husband “don’t know how to have a healthy conversation.”

Javi has said that he won’t be discussing his ex-wife's pregnancy. In a series of tweets on Feb. 23, he claimed to be focusing “on Lincoln, work and Crossfit.” Javi promised that Kailyn’s situation would “play out.”

It’s not clear who the father of Kailyn's third child is. She’s suggested that she’ll discuss it when she’s ready. In the meantime, catch Kailyn and Javi on “Teen Mom 2” on MTV Mondays at 10 p.m. EST.
