After a rocky road last year, “Big Bang Theory” star Kaley Cuoco is finally opening up about her trials and tribulations, now that she feels her life is back on track. Following a very difficult divorce announcement in September, the actress spoke candidly about her split to Ellen Degeneres and got emotional reminiscing about her brief time as a wife.

In the 30-year-old star's appearance on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” which will air Tuesday afternoon, she talks about the landmark 200th episode of the hit CBS sitcom. While reflecting on the show’s history and days gone by, the conversation turned to her impending divorce from tennis player Ryan Sweeting.

“Last year was very bizarre. We all go through really weird ups and downs,” she tells the host. “I already feel like 2016 is going to be much better than 2015. It’s been rough, but things are going good and I’m much, much better now than I was.”

With that, the crowd gave her a round of applause for being so vulnerable on TV. Once it died down, Cuoco went on to say the marriage only lasted 18 months, and got a little emotional about it. She put her head between her knees and groaned. She even brought up her back tattoo -- previously a rendering of their wedding date but now a stylized moth.

According to Entertainment Tonight, the couple dated for about three months before tying the knot on Dec. 31, 2013. The outlet reports that it was she who ended the marriage, but it was hardly a sudden announcement for anyone involved. Despite the split being a long time coming, Page Six reports that Cuoco hasn’t yet finalized the divorce.

As for things improving in the new year, Cuoco has reportedly already moved on from Sweeting to “Arrow” star Paul Blackthorne. According to Us Weekly, the pair started dating in January and have been moving at a slow pace romantically ever since.
