The upcoming Monday night matchup between the Los Angeles Rams (9-1) and Kansas City Chiefs (9-1) is perhaps the most anticipated game of the 2018 NFL season. However, one of its marquee players unexpectedly showed up on the pregame injury report after practice on Thursday.

Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes showed up on Thursday’s injury report with a foot injury. He has not missed a game or a snap for Kansas City this season. However, it does not seem to have been a severe foot injury as the MVP favorite was listed as a full participant in practice.

Starting wide receiver Sammy Watkins was limited in practice with a foot injury after missing last week’s game against the Cardinals, but he is expected to play against the Rams. Center Mitch Morse and safety Eric Berry did not practice.

The Rams have a mostly clean bill of health heading into the big game. Wide receiver Cooper Kupp will miss the rest of the season with a torn ACL, but there were no other injuries on Thursday’s report for Los Angeles.

The Rams are slight favorites in a home game that is expected to be a high-scoring affair. The Chiefs and Rams have two of the top three scoring offenses in the NFL, but both have struggled on defense this year.
