“Sunday Night Football” will highlight one of the biggest games of Week 16, as Kansas City Chiefs (11-3) travel to the Emerald City to take on the Seattle Seahawks (8-6). Both teams desperately need wins, and oddsmakers expect it to be a tight game.

The Seahawks are 2.5-point home underdogs, per OddsShark. It is noteworthy for any team to come into Seattle’s raucous home environment as a betting favorite, especially in the Pete Carroll era, but the Chiefs have proven to be anything but pushovers this season.

Kansas City has lost three games by a total of seven points. Two of those games were on the road, and all three of them were against teams with nine or more wins. The Chiefs’ defense has struggled this year, but the team has the highest scoring offense in the league.

The stakes are high for both teams in this game. The Chiefs still control their own destiny when it comes to securing the AFC’s top seed, but they can only guarantee it by winning out from here. The Seahawks, meanwhile, need to win to get into the playoffs at all.

Both teams could have done those things in Week 15, but both suffered shocking losses against division rivals over the weekend. The Chiefs gave up a 14-point fourth quarter lead against the Los Angeles Chargers (11-3) in Arrowhead Stadium, while the Seahawks lost to the lowly San Francisco 49ers (4-10) in overtime.

Kansas City could have starting corner Kendall Fuller back for the game, as well as starters Spencer Ware, Cam Erving and Sammy Watkins. The Seahawks could get D.J. Fluker and K.J. Wright back for the game.
