Kanye West has been telling his friends in the music industry that he and Kim Kardashian have rekindled their romance, a report has claimed.

Since the reality star filed for divorce in February, West, 44, and Kardashian, 40, have remained amicable as they co-parent their four kids — North, 8, Saint, 5, Chicago, 3, and Psalm, 2. Months after their split, however, the "Gold Digger" rapper is now claiming that they are back together — but nobody believes it to be true, Page Six reported, citing unnamed sources.

"Kanye has been telling other rappers that he and Kim are back together, but everybody knows that isn't true," the outlet quoted one music insider as saying.

However, industry insiders reportedly believe that West is putting on a big show of "performance art" in an attempt to outsell his nemesis Drake, who also plans to release a new album soon.

"The real story is that Kanye wants to beat Drake in record sales, and he is putting on a big show of performance art to grab all the media attention," the source continued.

With West and Drake expected to drop "Donda" and "Certified Lover Boy," respectively, around the same time, the two rappers have been trading barbs online, reigniting their 12-year-old feud, Vanity Fair reported.

Drake recently took shots at both the Yeezy founder and his frequent collaborator Pusha T in a new collab with Trippie Redd, titled "Betrayal."

"All these fools I’m beefin’ that I barely know / Forty-five, forty-four (burned out), let it go / Ye ain't changin’ s--t for me, it's set in stone," Drake raps in the track, according to Vanity Fair.

In response, West posted and deleted a screenshot of Drake's Toronto address. He also shared a screenshot of a cryptic text message he sent to a group chat with eight other people that some fans believe was about Drake. West added Pusha T to the conversation before sending a photo of Joaquin Phoenix's Joker.

"I live for this. I've been f—ked with by nerd a— jock n—s like you my whole life. You will never recover. I promise you," he wrote underneath.

As for his relationship with Kardashian, Page Six's source claimed that West and the Skims founder did not talk for "months" after she filed for divorce but "began talking again earlier this summer for the sake of their kids."

"Kim is a nice person – while she and Kanye are not back together – she's happy to support him in his work and his art, she wants a good relationship with him for the sake of their children," the tipster added.

The former couple fueled reconciliation rumors when the "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" star showed up at the latest listening party for "Donda" in Chicago wearing a wedding gown. West and Kardashian were also spotted holding hands while leaving the venue.

However, an insider told Page Six that Kardashian was only there to support his "performance art."

"They've always supported each other's endeavors and have always collaborated and will continue to do so," the source explained. "Kim was happy to do it and will always support Kanye."
