Kanye West's fourth attorney wanted to be relieved from his ongoing divorce case against Kim Kardashian.

Kardashian filed for divorce from West in February 2021, a month after they announced their separation. The pair is still working on finalizing it and their kids' custody, but the "Donda" artist's fourth lawyer just decided to drop the case and move on.

Samantha Spector, West's divorce lawyer, filed a motion to be relieved as his counsel on May 26. In her filing, she stated that "there has been an irreconcilable breakdown in the attorney-client relationship," Entertainment Tonight reported.

In the documents obtained by ET, Spector noted that she had already served West the motion and communicated with him through his new attorney, Deborah Hong, via email and mail.

"Attorney has communicated with Ms. Hong, an attorney-at-law, who has confirmed she is acting on behalf of Ye and should receive all communications directed to him," Spector added.

West hired the famed divorce attorney earlier this year after firing Chris Melcher ahead of Kardashian's March hearing when the "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" alum was declared legally single. In the same month, an unnamed source told ET that the Grammy winner was looking to establish a formal custody agreement for his kids with Kardashian. The exes share four children — North, 8; Saint, 6; Chicago, 4; and Psalm, 3.

"Kanye has told his lawyer he wants a more formal custody agreement with Kim. The two currently have nothing in place, but Kim has the kids, and Kanye is allowed to see them whenever he wants, within reason," the source told ET at the time. "Kanye feels he's not been getting enough time with his children, and if his lawyer can't work something out with Kim will go to court."

In a recent episode of Hulu's "The Kardashians," the Skims founder clarified that she wants West to always be part of their children's lives no matter what. The episode also featured West coming to pick up their children at home in a firetruck to take them to school.

"No matter what we're going through, I always want my kids to be around their dad as much as possible and just have their mornings with Dad and get dropped off at school," Kardashian said in a confessional, People reported.
