  • Real Madrid won their recent matchup against Getafe

It has been a dominant return for Real Madrid in the La Liga season and they’re looking to improve moving forward. The club has been on a hot streak and they’re aiming to depend on reliable players such as Karim Benzema to double the effort in the absence of Eden Hazard.

The ever-reliable star has already proven that he is one of the best in the world. In the past few games, Benzema has stepped up big for Real Madrid on the field. There were several times that the 32-year-old has had complete control of the game with how composed he is on the pitch.

Given how dominating Real Madrid has been ever since resuming the games, Benzema has led the charge for Los Blancos. The former Ligue 1 Top Scorer has been able to control the pace of each match with his elite ball-control and dribbling abilities for the Santiago Bernabeu-based squad.

Per The Real Champs, Zinedine Zidane and Real Madrid would need Benzema to step up once again due to the injury Hazard sustained. It seems that the club may miss the services of their star forward but Zidane remains calm of the situation.

The health concerns for Hazard has been hampering the team for a while as he’s been on and off the field for some time. But per Goal.com, Zidane understands the situation and is aware of not rushing any recovery time.

"He'll be fine in a little while," Zidane shared.

The composure the team has without Hazard was evident as they were still able to deliver a strong performance in their most recent matchup against Getafe. It was a hard-fought win as Los Merengues slipped away with a 1-0 win. Having the advantage of a superstar like Benzema has been and will continue to be beneficial for the team given how well he's played ever since he’s donned the white uniform of Real Madrid.

This dominating ability was highlighted in one of the more impressive moments of the season when Benzema provided a cheeky backheel assist that nutmegged the Espanyol defense. It demonstrated the confidence of Benzema and how he can easily toy with his opponents. With Hazard out indefinitely, it can be expected for the three-time Footballer of the year to excel for Zidane and the rest of Real Madrid.

The team is currently on top of the La Liga standings with 22 wins, eight draws and three losses. Things are looking good for the organization with how things are this year and in the seasons to come.

It will be interesting to see how Real Madrid plays with their roster and if they will be able to maximize the star abilities of Benzema.
