Kate Middleton is trying to have another baby with her husband Prince William, according to a report.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are already parents to three adorable kids — Prince George, 7; Princess Charlotte, 5; and Prince Louis, 2. However, Middleton wants to add another one to their brood because she has always wanted to have four children.

"Having four children was always part of Kate’s plan," a source told Us Weekly. "She put the idea on hold when [the coronavirus pandemic] hit, but now there is light at the end of the tunnel with the vaccine and [Prince George and Princess Charlotte] scheduled to return to school in April. She feels ready to start trying again."

Middleton has been feeling "broody" since her sister Pippa Middleton announced her pregnancy in December 2020, the tabloid noted. The future queen is also aware that her "clock is ticking," so she has been eating a "nutrient-rich" diet to prepare her body for another pregnancy.

"It took a while for Kate to convince William, though," the insider added. "He said that three children is more than enough. The thought of having four made him feel overwhelmed. … But Kate’s desires to have another child have inspired him, and at the end of the day, he loves and appreciates the secure family setting he never had growing up. Why not make it bigger? After taking some time to think about it, he’s on the same page and is excited about the future."

In March 2020, Middleton sparked pregnancy rumors after the royal couple dropped by at the Home of Guinness in Dublin. Both had a pint of Guinness, but the duchess didn't actually drink and only had the foam. Some also noticed that her hair slightly changed at the time. The Duchess of Cambridge has a habit of changing her hair color when she's expecting. However, the royals didn't make any pregnancy announcement.

Meanwhile, Princess Diana's former royal aide, Paul Burrell, predicted Middleton's future pregnancy. He believed that this year, the duchess would get pregnant with her fourth baby. Aside from Middleton, her sister-in-law, Meghan Markle, might also have her second bun in the oven.

"There will be four babies for Kate and William," Burrell said. "It wouldn’t surprise me if Kate and Meghan were pregnant at the same time next year."
