Kate Middleton looked depressed and too thin on her recent outing, according to a Twitter user.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge continue to carry out their royal roles following Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s exit. On Monday, Prince William and Middleton stepped out to join the U.K.-Africa Investment Summit at Buckingham Palace, Daily Mail reported.

The royal mother of three was stunning in her silver shimmering red gown by Needle & Thread. The duchess matched it with Gianvito Rossi pumps of the same shade. Prince William was also dashing in his black suit and red tie.

Middleton accessorized with a pair of dangling ruby earrings. She was also photographed with a red clutch bag to complement her overall look.

While many were impressed with the future queen’s look, one netizen said that Middleton looked “depressed.”

“Kate Middleton Too thin & Looks depressed Royal trouble brewing ? Or the next episode of cheaters?” the netizen wrote on Twitter.

Middleton’s weight has been a subject of interest among her followers and critics, with the latter slamming her for losing too much weight. One even described the duchess “skeletal” and questioned if she has an eating disorder.

However, those who have been following Middleton weren’t surprised by her frame. Some even defended her and attributed her slim figure to her active lifestyle and healthy diet.

“She exercises and this keeps her body toned, not skeletal. She looks and is a picture of health. I consider this a very rude inference,” Mauren James, a former Civil Servant, wrote.

As for the depression claim, it’s unlikely that Middleton is suffering from it. The duchess is reportedly an active advocate of mental health. Last year, Middleton was even seen accompanying her brother James Middleton, who openly admitted his depression.

“I know I’m richly blessed and live a privileged life. But it did not make me immune to depression,” James wrote in an op-ed for Daily Mail.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are reportedly planning a distraction trip following the Sussexes’ departure from the royal family. Prince William and Middleton are set to fly to Ireland and stay there for two days.
