Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle may face the same royal problems as Princess Diana.

In the past days, there were reports claiming that there's a tension between Prince Harry, Markle and Prince William. Then another insider claim, that there's a rift between the Duchess of Cambridge and Duchess of Sussex which causes the tension. According to Princess Diana's former bodyguard Ken Wharfe, if the beef between the royals is true then it could be only due to one reason -- "who is more popular?"

"Whether the two women have fallen out I don't know. Harry is an interesting character as indeed Meghan is," Wharfe said (via Express).

"Two very popular people and one of the things of course that royalty do not like is when one becomes more popular than the other. This was part of Diana’s problem," he continued.

"They could not deal with Diana's popularity and perhaps maybe we are revisiting the same sort of problem where one is getting all the press which is Meghan and Harry, and that may be part of the problem."

Kensington Palace confirmed earlier that Prince Harry and Markle are moving to Windsor early next year before the arrival of their baby. However, the royal security thinks that it's best for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to stay in Kensington Palace as it's safer.

"Kensington Palace from a security standpoint seems to be the perfect place, it has everything going for it," Wharfe explained. "From a logistic point of view moving to Windsor poses major problems because we do not know exactly the security arrangements for this property."

Many were shocked and even find it odd because initially, reports claimed that Prince Harry and Markle would be moving to Apartment 1, a 21-bedroom mansion on the west side of the palace next to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's Apartment 1A. However, due to the alleged rift, the couple no longer wants to live near Prince William and Middleton.

"But there has been a bit of tension between the brothers. Now Harry and Meghan don't want to live next to William and Kate and want to strike out on their own. They need more room and hope Frogmore Cottage will be ready in time for when they have the baby," a source said.
