Kate Middleton and Prince William arranged a special documentary screening for their son, Prince George.

According to The Sun, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge loves “Free Solo” and agreed to set a private screening of this Oscar-nominated climbing documentary for their 5-year-old son, Prince George. Prince William and Middleton met rock climber Alex Honnold and his girlfriend Sanni McCandless at the BAFTAs weeks ago.

Prince William reportedly had so many questiones lined up for the mountain climber on how he managed to climb the 3,000 feet granite slab El Capitan, in California’s Yosemite National Park without any ropes or safety gear. The father of three even asked to take a look at Honnold’s hands for injuries.

On the other hand, Middleton and McCandles bonded over sharing daredevil partners. The latter shared how she feels every time her boyfriend takes on extreme challenges.

Middleton admitted in a past interview that she is filled with horror whenever Prince William rides his motorbike. The Duke of Cambridge has revealed his love for motorcycles, but then he disclosed that he decided to put it at the back-burner a little bit because of his growing family.

Honnold shared his joy of meeting the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge at the BAFTAs on Instagram.

“It was an amazing evening all the way around, though meeting the prince and princess was a definite highlight. I still can’t believe that royalty has watched and enjoyed our film,” he wrote.

In related news, Middleton’s gown on the said event sparked a double standard debate. The Duchess of Cambridge arrived in a white one-shoulder gown by Alexander McQueen. A number praised Middleton, saying that she looked “gorgeous,” “angelic” and “beautiful” in her outfit.

However, some netizens were irked that the Duchess of Cambridge was praised because months ago, her sister-in-law Meghan Markle wore a similar outfit by Givenchy at the British Fashion Awards but was criticized for breaking a royal protocol.

As a form of revenge, Markle’s fans criticized Middleton for not wearing an undergarment in her white gown. Netizens said that it was “too vulgar” because they could see the duchess’ nipples in her white dress. On the other hand, they praised Markle for wearing a black gown.
