Kate Middleton has been accused of being “racist.”

Just recently, the Duchess of Cambridge stunned in a Gucci gown when she stepped out for the 100 Women in Finance’s gala dinner at the Victoria & Albert Museum. However, many were not impressed as the brand was recently involved in a blackface scandal. They were not happy to see the duchess supporting a line of clothing that they deemed to be “racist.”

One netizen questioned Middleton’s choice of wearing Gucci, Prada and D&G, as all of these brands have been involved in racist controversies. The same user questioned how Middleton could “wear/support all three in one day.”

Others directly accused Prince William’s wife of supporting racism after wearing the brands' clothes. “Kate Middleton has officially become the Duchess of Racists,” one netizen wrote.

“Kate Middleton, the Duchess for the racists and the racist Duchess. This is why I hate her - she must be loving the attacks on the mixed race #DuchessOfSussex - I hope Harry can get Meghan away from the toxic Cambridge’s as soon as he can,” Amy Wyatt wrote.

“She will be the Queen of RACISTS around the world, I don't see her and William coming out in defense of Meghan so the world assume they must be alike. #nvrmyqueen,” Patricia Jones wrote.

Some netizens also questioned why the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge never defended Markle from her critics. Han-Grenade responded that the royal family has a policy to never address gossip or scandals.

But some weren’t convinced. According to Mo Daniels, Prince Harry has always spoken out for his family and defended Prince Charles when the media called for him to step aside. The Duke of Sussex also defended Middleton when she was called “workshy” and Prince William when he was accused of wanting to be “king at all cost.”

Markle’s supporters also previously criticized Middleton’s BAFTAs gown. According to them, it was vulgar because she was wearing a white gown without an undergarment and they saw the duchess’ nipple.
