This year has been a busy one for the British royal family as it has included appearances at Her Majesty's Diplomatic Reception, visiting special initiatives in Africa, and many other exciting things. It seems that 2020 will also be off to a great start for Kate Middleton, Prince William, and their children thanks to a new report that shares what the royals have planned shortly after the new year.

According to the Sun, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are planning to bring their three children on a ski vacation. An insider revealed that Kate's parents, Carole and Michael Middleton, are also likely going to go on the trip with them. As for the role they will play, the source said that they will "babysit back in the ski chalet."

Earlier this year, the Cambridges reportedly allowed Prince George, 6, and Princess Charlotte, 4, to visit the slopes, but the upcoming trip is expected to be the first for Prince Louis, 1.

Leading up to the trip, Kate has also reportedly started looking at ski outfits for her family, including jackets and chin guards. At this time, it is unknown what each of them will wear, but the Duchess previously found royal fashion inspiration from Meghan Markle and her message of sustainability.

This trip would follow their annual Christmas celebrations with Queen Elizabeth II at Sandringham, the source furthered.

As for what the royal family's Christmas celebrations will look like, "Sandringham: The Queen at Christmas," a recent Channel 5 documentary, revealed that they take part in quite a few festivities. After the family gathers for a drink reception, they are said to exchange humorous gifts and play various games, even though there is one game in particular they refrain from playing as it has become too "vicious" in the past.
