Kate Middleton is more popular than Meghan Markle.

The Duchess of Cambridge beats the Duchess of Sussex in terms of popularity according to Tatler’s survey. As shown in the poll results, 44 percent of the participants preferred Middleton over Markle. Only 11 percent disagreed and 12 percent said they did not know, Express reported.

Although Markle was less popular than her sister-in-law, the majority believed that she is an asset to the royal family. About 55 percent agreed that Prince Harry’s wife had been good to the royal family while 45 percent disagreed.

This isn’t the first time the people favored Middleton over Markle. In YouGov’s annual poll, the future queen consort was also voted to be a more popular member of the Firm than Markle.

Sixty-four percent of the participants had positive opinion about Middleton while only 10 percent disliked her. On the other hand, 49 percent favored Markle and 16 percent had a negative opinion about her.

The netizens also shared their opinion about Middleton and Markle’s beauty and popularity on the online forum Quora. According to Deanna Eppers, an avid royal family follower, the world is having a love affair with Markle. However, she was confident that the spotlight would eventually fade on the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge would supersede them especially when they take over the throne.

Many also supported Middleton because for them she is charming and genuine. Also, unlike Markle, the future queen consort doesn’t draw attention to herself.

“Catherine is regal, sophisticated, classy, natural and elegant. She hasn’t let Royalty go to her head, and does her own food shopping, and shops for clothes and interiors from high street shops,” Sophie Oldfield wrote.

A few months back, Sunday Express conducted a national poll about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. The results showed the public’s distaste toward the couple.

Seven out of 10 believed that the public should not fund Prince Harry and Markle’s luxurious lifestyle. The couple received an intense backlash after spending the taxpayers’ money worth $3 million for their house renovation for Frogmore Cottage. Meanwhile, 58 percent agreed that the couple should not get their hands on public money.
