Kate Middleton’s visit to baby Archie reportedly ended up in tears.

According to New Idea, the Duchess of Cambridge was livid over Buckingham Palace’s mistake on its website when it named her and Prince William’s Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor’s parents. The baby is Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s firstborn.

It took a week before Prince William and Middleton could visit the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s baby. When Middleton was already at the couple’s new home, Frogmore Cottage, she reportedly took out her frustrations to the new parents.

“Kate is absolutely furious,” a palace source told the publication. “She feels humiliated. As if things weren’t bad enough between Kate and Meghan, now she’s had to go through the drama of being called Archie’s mum and going through the mess of having it all fixed.”

“Kate just keeps trying to put the tension with Meghan behind her, but it’s one step forward two steps back at the moment,” the insider added.

Two days after Archie was born, Prince Harry and Markle introduced him to the world by making a photocall. Following their appearance, Buckingham Palace announced the name of the newest addition to the royal family on its website but made a noticeable error.

“Archie Harrison was born at 5.26am on Monday 6th May. He is the first child of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and is seventh in line to the throne,” the palace’s post read, which has since been corrected. The post should have read “the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.”

Meanwhile, another insider told Us Weekly that things are better between Middleton and Markle following Archie’s arrival. The Duchess of Cambridge and the Duchess of Sussex are reportedly spending more time together and are bonding over motherhood, making them “closer than ever.”

Prince William and Middleton released a statement following Markle’s delivery. The couple said that it was a great time to have a baby and they were looking forward to meeting the latest addition to the royal family.

Prince William and Middleton reportedly made their visit on Tuesday in a private affair. However, their three children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis haven’t met their cousin yet.
