Kate Middleton commemorated the U.K.'s Armed Forces Day Saturday with photos of herself in full military uniform.

The Duchess of Cambridge shared on Instagram and Twitter snaps from her visit to the Pirbright Training Academy in November last year.

During her day at the Academy, Middleton spent time with the 101 Operational Sustainment Brigade at Abingdon Airfield to learn about how new recruits and serving personnel are trained as well as participated in some of the training exercises, People reported.

One of the pictures Middleton shared showed the royal wearing headphones, a military jacket and thick gloves while smiling and inspecting a piece of military equipment. In another shot, she is wearing a helmet while sitting in what appears to be a tank. The other photos featured her talking to recruits and soldiers.

"Today on Armed Forces Day, William and I would like to pay tribute to the brave men and women, past and present, serving in all of our armed forces, at sea, on land and in the air, here in the UK and around the world," she wrote alongside the photos. "Thank you for all you and your families sacrifice to keep us safe."

Middleton also recounted her visit to the British Army last year, saying it was "wonderful to see first-hand the many important and varied roles the military play day in, day out to protect us all."

Middleton promised to continue visiting the armed forces, writing: "I look forward to discovering more about the @RoyalNavy and @RoyalAirForceUK in due course."

A number of royal fans praised Middleton over her photos and touching tribute, with many leaving red heart and clapping hands emojis in the comments section of her posts.

"Immensely proud of HRH The Duchess of Cambridge and all those who served and continue to serve in the armed forces," one commented.

"So stunning. Thank you for just being you!!!" another wrote.

Another added, "This picture depicts what real royalty is like!"

Middleton's husband, Prince William, holds the rank of flight lieutenant in the Royal Air Force, according to Entertainment Tonight. He earned his RAF wings in April 2008 after a 12-week course. The Duke of Cambridge also trained to be a helicopter pilot and served as one with the Search and Rescue Force.
