Prince William had the best reaction to his wife Kate Middleton gushing over a baby girl this week.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge met with locals in Cambridgeshire, England, Thursday when they visited the Cambridgeshire County Day and strolled around the Newmarket Racecourse.

During their outing, Middleton spotted 4-month-old Norah and approached her mom Marianne Provoost, who traveled from the Netherlands to watch the races. The duchess asked to hold the baby, and her husband watched as she cooed over the infant.

"I love babies," Middleton told Provoost, according to Hello! magazine.

Prince William then gently tapped his wife's arm to get her attention and signal that it was time to move on, Page Six reported.

Middleton handed the little girl back to her mother. "Enjoy your day and enjoy your children," Provoost told her.

Royal fans reacted to the interaction, with some joking on Twitter that the future king doesn't want his wife to get any ideas about having another child.

"LOL. I love William's reaction," one commented. "Desperate to get away before Catherine gets any ideas about baby No. 4."

"Catherine loves babies. It's making William a little nervous. He's nervous with three. Another one might tip him over the edge," another user wrote with laughing emojis.

A third person agreed, writing, "Especially if it's another Louis."

Middleton and Prince William share three kids — Prince George, 8, Princess Charlotte, 7, and Prince Louis, 4.

The couple's youngest child recently went viral for his hilarious and adorable antics during the Platinum Jubilee celebrations earlier this month. He was seen covering his ears and seemingly screaming as the planes flew over Buckingham Palace during Trooping the Colour on June 2 and was photographed making silly faces at his mother during the Platinum Jubilee pageant a few days later.

Middleton has admitted in the past to feeling "broody" after meeting with young children.

During her solo royal tour in Denmark in February, the duchess, whose work includes early childhood development, met with parents and their babies during a visit to the University of Copenhagen.

"It makes me very broody," Middleton shared at the time. "William always worries about me meeting under 1-year-olds. I come home saying, 'Let's have another one.'"
