Kate Middleton’s fashion choices are becoming more regal.

The Duchess of Cambridge has been preparing for her future role as queen consort. As that day comes near many noticed that her wardrobes have changed and one etiquette expert confirmed that her fashion indeed change.

“The Duchess of Cambridge’s style certainly has become more regal over the years since she married into the royal family - and rightly so, she will one day be Queen to Prince William’s King,” William Hanson said.

“Originally Catherine was reticent to take advice from those who had been there and done that on her style but she is much more willing to listen and learn from others - to her own benefit and that if the monarchy,” he continued.

Hanson added that choosing the Queen’s favorite brands is a logical decision. Middleton has opted to pick Queen Elizabeth II’s glove maker Cornelia James. Prince William’s wife has also been spotted wearing several pieces from the monarch’s jewelry collection on several occasions.

According to jeweler Pippa Small, Middleton’s taste for accessories is more traditional, classic and refined. This is the reason she loves the items from the Queen’s vault.

As for Middleton’s wardrobe, many already noticed that her outfits have changed after her six-month maternity leave. Her supporters were convinced that she’s stepping out of her comfort zone and that her fashion has become bolder and edgier.

The Duchess of Cambridge was out of the spotlight after delivering Prince Louis except for important family events like Trooping the Colour, Prince Louis’ christening and Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s royal wedding. Middleton surprised many when she stepped out in a checkered off-the-shoulder Erdem dress. She also wowed her fans she wore a bright fuchsia pink dress at Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank’s big day as she was never seen in that shade before.

According to Charlie Proctor, editor of Royal Central, the royal mom of three is already prepping for her new title as the queen consort after Camilla Parker Bowles. Middleton’s preparations come in the form of behind the scenes work including attending meetings.

Middleton’s future responsibilities as queen consort include supporting her husband by attending engagements and going on foreign visits. It’s not really very different from her current role.
