Kate Middleton will be returning to her royal duties next week.

On Tuesday, Kensington Palace announced Middleton’s first engagement for the year.

“On Tuesday 15th January The Duchess of Cambridge will visit the King Henry’s Walk Community Garden in Islington,” the palace wrote on Twitter. “The Duchess will meet @KHWGarden volunteers to hear how the project brings people together through gardening and food growing.”

The announcement was flooded with comments as many were excited to see Middleton. Many believe that the children will love to meet the duchess because she is easy going and very appropriate. In addition, she smiles all the time.

Middleton made a similar visit for her official return after her six-month maternity leave. The Duchess of Cambridge visited the Sayers Croft Forest School and Wildlife at Paddington Recreation Ground.

The royal mom of three broke several royal protocols on the said outing. She copied Markle’s fashion of wearing pants, was photographed hugging kids and was seen shutting her own car door.

Meanwhile, the palace didn’t mention Prince William, so Middleton will likely visit the Community Garden alone. Some fans are hoping that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will have more duties together this year.

“Hope we see more joint engagements for W&K in 2019,” one fan wrote.

It remains unknown where Prince William will be on that day. It’s likely that he has other engagements if he couldn’t accompany Middleton.

Prince William will return to his royal duties earlier than his wife. The Duke of Cambridge is set to visit London’s Air Ambulance on Wednesday, the same day when Middleton will be celebrating her 37th birthday.

The charity, which is close to Prince William’s heart, will commemorate its 30th anniversary. Prince William used to be an air ambulance pilot for the East Anglian Air Ambulance. He resigned when he decided to work for the royal family full-time.

Aside from Prince William, Middleton’s children 5-year-old Prince George and 3-year-old Princess Charlotte will be away for school. The two kids have already returned to school, so Middleton will have to spend part of her birthday without them.

The family is expected to reunite in the latter part of the day to celebrate Middleton’s special day.
