Kate Middleton made a sweet tribute to her sister-in-law Meghan Markle during their first Remembrance Day reunion.

On Saturday, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex made their first reunion in months following Archie’s christening. The two couples joined Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Charles and the other members of the royal family at the Royal British Legion Festival of Remembrance service at the Royal Albert Hall. It was reportedly their first meeting since Prince Harry spoke about their rumored rift.

According to Express, Middleton made a subtle move to give a sweet nod to Markle. The royal mother of three wore a dark navy blue dress held together around the waist by a smart black belt. It featured a bateau neckline that was similar to the design of Markle’s wedding dress.

Middleton accessorized her ensemble with a black headband and Jimmy Choo black velvet pumps. She also wore three red poppies as a tribute to those who died while serving the British armed forces.

Prince Harry and Markle were seated on the second row behind Prince Andrew and Boris Johnson. According to Mirror, their seating arrangement is based on their hierarchy in the royal family. The heirs to the throne, Prince William and Prince Charles, sat on the monarch’s left and right seats with their wives Middleton and Camilla, respectively. Queen Elizabeth II’s children are also clustered very closely to her that’s why Prince Harry and Markle are placed on the second row behind the Duke of York.

According to an insider, the Duchess of Cambridge was concerned of Prince Harry and Markle following their emotional interview for an ITV documentary. She reportedly called Markle to offer support. Prince William’s wife was concerned of her brother- and sister-in-law’s well-being.

However, another insider said that while Middleton was affected by the controversies plaguing Prince Harry and Markle, she wanted to remain in the background. The future queen consort is staying out of the drama and she has enough on her plate looking after her three children and fulfilling her royal duties.
