Katy Perry, one of the top-selling music artists the world over, turned 37 Monday.

Perry, the five-time American Music Award winner who was born in Santa Barbara, California, in 1984 under the name of Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson, grew up to become one of the renowned pop stars of America, achieving notable career milestones and earning over 125 million singles and a good 18 million albums to her credit since 1999.

The crooner rose to fame with the release of her second studio album called "One of The Boys" in 2008 and eventually became the proud recipient of several eminent music awards such as Billboard Music Award, Brit Award and Juno Award, among others.

Perry marked her spot in the pop music scene typically with fun lyrics and vibrant and playful sense of style. The Daisies crooner is currently engaged to English actor Orlando Bloom and the couple has a six-month-old daughter together, Daisy.
