Kristen Bell isn’t embarrassed that her post-baby body didn’t magically snap back into place like scores of other celebrity mothers. Of course, most know that Hollywood stars put themselves through intense diet and exercise regimes to look picture-perfect weeks after giving birth to their little ones and that in reality it’s anything but magical.

Bell is avoiding what she calls the “rat race” and instead plans on working out to get her body the way it was before she was pregnant, but if this is her new shape, she’s cool with it. Check out her explanation on her new-mom body image in Redbook magazine:

“I refused to worry about something I could not change, and I still refuse. ... I am not a woman whose self-worth comes from her dress size." She continued, "Look, I'm like any other woman. All this evolved BS that I'm telling you is my mantra: It's not something I practice naturally. I had to surrender to not worrying about the way I looked, how much I weighed, because that's just part of the journey of having a baby."

She said fiancé Dax Sheppard loves her sexy mom curves and "asked me to stay chubby after the baby was born." The article’s titled read “Redbook’s Crazy Cover Reveal: A Mom Who Hasn’t Lost All The Weight” and the starlet took to Twitter to respond, "I’m proud to sit out the baby weight rat race.”

The cover photos were taken 11 weeks after her daughter Lincoln was born, the news site added, and referred to her pictures with the mag as “lovely.” Bell has already lost 28 pounds of her pregnancy weight, but isn’t driving herself crazy about the remaining 15.

"I'm going to continue working out and see where it goes. I'd like to get back down to where I was before the baby," Bell told Redbook, "but if this is where my body wants to be, so be it. I'm not going to make myself miserable for the rest of my life trying to get back to where I was before."

On Twitter, Bell continued to talk about her evolved body:

"I like my Lincoln Leftovers because they're proof I did something extraordinary. I gave life to my new BFF & she gave me a comical amount of midsection skin."
