  • Kardashian admitted the show wouldn't have become a success without the scandal
  • "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" aired its final episode last week
  • "KUWTK Reunion" second part will air on Sunday

The "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" is leaving no stone unturned when it comes to the reunion. Andy Cohen, who hosted the first part of the reunion Thursday, confronted Kim Kardashian regarding her 2007 sex tape scandal.

"Do you feel that the show would have had its massive initial success without the publicity that surrounded the sex tape?" the 53-year-old television talk show host asked Kardashian referring to her sex tape with then-boyfriend William Ray Norwood Jr., professionally known as Ray J.

"Looking back, probably not," Kardashian admitted.

The 40-year-old reality TV star further noted that she might have to answer her kids about the tape in the future. Kardashian shares four kids – North, Psalm, Chicago and Saint – with her estranged husband Kanye West.

"I haven't had to as of yet and luckily I think that so many years have gone on and so many things have happened positively that it really erases that," she explained. "It is something I have to live with for the rest of my life."

However, Kardashian says she believes everything happens for a reason and the scandal has taught her a lesson. She wants to "erase" the incident from her life.

She later thanked Cohen for doing the reunion.

The couple filmed the sex act with a handheld camcorder to celebrate Kardashian's 23rd birthday. Though it was recorded in 2002, pornographic company Vivid Entertainment released the tape in 2007."

The mother of four also admitted that she took ecstasy (MDMA drug) before she recorded the tape.

This is not the first time Kardashian has spoken about drug use. In a "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" episode in 2018, Kardashian told Scott Disick and sister Kendall Jenner, "I did ecstasy once and I got married. I did it again, I made a sex tape. Like, everything bad would happen."

"Keeping Up with the Kardashians" first premiered in 2007 and the final episode aired last week. The second part of the reality TV show's reunion will air on Sunday at 9 p.m. ET.
