Kylie Jenner’s pouty lips are gorgeous, aren’t they? But if you’re thinking of copying them, think again, because what happened to this girl may happened to you as well.

Her name’s Lily, she’s a teenager from Chestnut, Hertfordshire and she did the Jenner’s lip challenge. What happened to her after the challenge? Her lips were four times bigger than original size. They were swollen and she couldn’t talk for 2 days, news outlet, Meaww, reported.

Her mom, Danni Greenland, documented the entire Jenner lip challenge thing. In the video shared by Daily Mail, Greenland’s 12-year-old daughter tried to re-create the challenge famously inspired by Jenner by putting her lips in a shot glass and sucked the air out to make them appear plumped.

Since Lily’s lips stayed abnormally large for 2 days, she reportedly had to go to school wearing that Jenner inspired plumped lips. Greenland said that her daughter looked more like Pete Burns rather than Jenner, Metro reported. That didn’t seem to bother the duo because in the video, you would hear the mother and daughter laughing at the outcome of Jenner’s lip challenge.

Back in 2015, there were news that came out warning young girls about the possible dangers of doing Jenner’s lip challenge. The Washington Post reported the precaution of Emily Orofino of placing one’s lips into the shot glass and sucking the air out of it which might create friction.

The report further stated that since the glass wasn’t flexible, it could break under pressure and might cause serious injuries to the young participating girls. Worst, the same may require stitches to mend.

One dermatologic surgeon named Dendy Engelman reportedly expressed his concerns to the publication, Seventeen. Engelman said that Jenner’s do-it-yourself plumping may have potential risk for scarring and permanent disfigurement after repeated attempts, aside from the fact that it may be accompanied by pain, swelling and bruising.

While nobody is really against body modification, Orofino was reportedly concerned of these young ladies, whose bodies were not yet fully developed, making decisions that could potentially change the way the look forever. That instead of going through this painful method, why not over line the mouth with a lip liner instead.
