La Liga, Premier League and Serie A clubs are reportedly interested in a player who has been dubbed as the new Cristiano Ronaldo.

Club football has remained interesting despite the hiatus caused by coronavirus pandemic. The biggest names and the biggest clubs have been looking forward to matches resuming, but more importantly, they have been plotting their next moves for the future.

Recent reports from Calciomercato (via Football.london) claimed that Tottenham manager Jose Mourinho is showing a keen interest in fellow countryman Fabio Silva, a youngster dubbed as the new Ronaldo.

The 17-year-old emerged as a versatile forward who can also play as a number 10. In his 18 appearances for Porto, Silva scored three goals and dished out two assists. He has been compared to the Portuguese icon Ronaldo and is reportedly grabbing the attention of the biggest clubs across Europe’s top five leagues this season.

Reports claimed that Ronaldo’s former La Liga club Real Madrid and current Serie A team Juventus are also open to signing Silva. Atletico Madrid is apparently also included in the list of the youngster’s reported suitors.

Signing Silva could cost a club quite a chunk of money as his release clause is currently around a massive £107 million ($133 million). However, sources claimed that Silva could be willing to go even for around half the said price.

Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho is also one of the youngsters earning comparisons to “CR7” today. Just like Silva, Sancho is being pursued by giants from Europe’s top leagues. Ronaldo’s former Premier League club Manchester United is the frontrunner for the 20-year-old goal scorer. Reports claimed that Man Utd is even offering Ronaldo’s iconic no. 7 shirt to Sancho in an attempt to lure the youngster to join the club.

Ronaldo’s Juve teammate Matthijs de Ligt is now linked to a sensational move to Barcelona. Coincidentally, de Ligt was also once tagged as the future Ronaldo. Last year, Argentine superstar Lionel Messi was reportedly urging Barca to push hard for de Ligt. Reports claim that the club once viewed de Ligt to be a long-time replacement for Gerard Pique. However, the deal never actualized, and de Ligt ended up with Juventus and joined Messi’s nemesis Ronaldo.

Despite insisting that he has been having a great time Juventus, the 20-year-old centre-back is said to be waiting for an opportunity to once again make a move to Barcelona.

Meanwhile, Ronaldo himself is also dealing with some issues with Juventus. The 35-year-old has been rumored to be considering a reunion with his former clubs Real and Man United. However, the five-time Ballon d'Or winner has pledged to stay with the Old Lady.
