  • Lady Gaga performed at Joe Biden's final campaign event Monday
  • She referenced living with ex-fiancé Taylor Kinney in Pennsylvania before they split
  • The Grammy winner and Kinney broke up in 2016 after five years together

Lady Gaga spoke about her broken engagement with Taylor Kinney during Joe Biden's final drive-in campaign rally before Election Day.

On Monday, Gaga referenced her ex-fiancé as she addressed the crowd at Pennsylvania, which is the home state of Kinney, People reported. After singing her hit song “Shallow,” she asked if someone in the crowd hails from Lancaster, where she lived with Kinney in their five years together.

“I was engaged to a man from Lancaster, Pennsylvania. I know, I know, it didn't work out. I loved him so much but it just did not work out,” Gaga said.

“But I still love me Pennsylvania guy. I love Joe, so Joe's my new Pennsylvania guy. And I love nothing more than this moment, for this time, for you and I!” the Grammy winner continued.

Gaga then continued the show, performing “You and I.” Coincidentally, she and Kinney met on the set of the music video for this song.

For the rally, the singer, whose real name is Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, changed some of the lyrics of the track with Biden’s name.

“Something, something about my cool Pennsylvania guy. There's something about, Joe, you and I," she sang.

Before finishing “You and I,” Gaga apologized to her current boyfriend, Michael Polansky, who was apparently at the event, for referencing her ex-fiancé.

“I'm so sorry I had to do the whole 'Pennsylvania, and I dated a guy here' thing. I love you so much, but it's true,” the “A Star is Born” actress said.

Gaga and the “Chicago Fire” star first crossed paths in 2011 and were in a relationship for five years. Kinney popped the question in February 2015 with a unique ring, but they called off the engagement the following year.

“Taylor and I have always believed we are soulmates. Just like all couples we have ups and downs, and we have been taking a break,” Gaga said in a statement on her Instagram.

In her documentary, Gaga addressed the breakup, admitting that her movie “A Star is Born” may have contributed to her failed relationship.

“I did a movie and lose Taylor. This is the third time I’ve had my heart broken like this,” she said.
