Former Los Angeles Lakers player Lamar Odom isn’t done with reality television. He is slated to star on a series “about his recovery,” People Magazine and Us Weekly reported Tuesday. A name and air date for the reality show was not revealed.

Odom, 37, checked himself into a rehabilitation center near San Diego, California, last week, a year after he almost died from an overdose at a Nevada brothel in October 2015.

“Lamar checked into rehab a week ago. He plans to stay for 30 days. It’s a substance abuse program, but he was not abusing drugs when he went in. He is clean. This is a precautionary measure,” an insider told People Magazine Tuesday. “He wants to stay clear and focused. With the divorce from Khloé being finalized and the holidays coming up, he doesn’t want to slip up. He’s trying to take care of himself. He really wants to be better.”

The source added: “His friends and family encouraged him to go in and he agreed and made the decision.”

Before he and TV personality Khloé Kardashian split in 2013, Odom appeared on reality shows like “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” and spinoff “Khloé & Lamar.”

Odom wants to get better for his children. “He went to continue making sure he stays sober and on the right path,” a source told Us Weekly Tuesday. “It was something he chose to do.”

Kardashian, 33, has not responded to Odom’s rehab stay. Their divorce will be finalized Friday, two months after she and Odom signed divorce documents.

“Keeping Up With the Kardashians” is currently filming Season 13.
