The Las Vegas Grand Prix launch party will be hosted on Nov. 5 this year, nearly one year before the city will have its inaugural Formula 1 race. The event will be held in the limo lot of Caesars Palace and is scheduled to start at 11 a.m. It will go on for 12 hours.

The first 500 individuals to enter the party will be rewarded with a free pass for a VIP event at the Caesars Palace. According to Las Vegas Review Journal, The Killers rock band will perform at the exclusive event.

Several activities are planned for visitors, with the main event being a show run between Oracle Red Bull Racing and Mercedes-AMG Petronas. According to F1destinations.com, the display will run between Caesars Palace and Planet Hollywood. F1 has not confirmed which drivers would participate.

According to Formula 1, other activities that are planned at the launch party include the Formula 1 Pit Stop challenge, hands-on experience with the Esports simulators, additional activations, car and trophy photo ops and giveaways. A free-for-all drone show will also be organized at the Caesars Palace.

Here is the full schedule (local time) for the event:

11:00 – Pit Stop Challenges, Esports Simulators and other activities begin in the Fan Zone at Caesars Palace. These will remain active throughout the day.
17:50- Mercedes-AMG Petronas and Oracle Red Bull Racing car run on Las Vegas Boulevard.
18:30- Free for all drone show at Caesars Palace.
18:45 – Introduction of drivers and teams on the Main Stage.
23:00 – OMNIA Nightclub starts the official afterparty of the Las Vegas launch party.

"We cannot wait to welcome Formula 1 fans from across the globe to Las Vegas and Caesars Palace," Caesars Entertainment Regional President Sean McBurney said in a statement.

"There is nowhere in the world like the Las Vegas Strip, and we know that working with the Formula 1 team, our city will provide a race experience that simply can't be matched," McBurney added.

Clark County Commissioner Marilyn Kirkpatrick said that "no destination is better prepared than Las Vegas to host an international event of the caliber of the Las Vegas Grand Prix."
