“The Last Kingdom” Season 4 filming has finally wrapped and the show will now move into the postproduction phase of development. The cast members are all excited about the show, and they appeared in a behind-the-scenes video to share their excitement with the eager fans.

“That's a wrap!” the caption of the Instagram post of the TV series read.

Judging by the photo that was shared, the cast and crew ended the filming with an action sequence.

Alexander Dreymon and Mark Rowley can be seen hugging in the snap, and the photograph also shows a few extras and horses in the background. All the actors have blood makeup on their faces and the field setting of the scene suggests that it was a battle they filmed. The post also complimented everyone involved in the project for a “job well done.”

The cast members of the show also appeared in a behind-the-scenes video that has been shared online. Brida actress Emily Cox said that she had an “amazing time” filming “The Last Kingdom” Season 4, and added that she can’t wait to show the fans what they have created.

According to the Instagram post, the new season will be bigger, bloodier, and better. The video also gave the fans a glimpse of what appears to be village set where some of the action took place. Aldhelm actor James Northcote teased that this is going to be one of the “most exciting seasons” yet.

Aelswith actress Eliza Butterworth also shared a few behind-the-scenes pictures of the cast members having some fun on her Instagram page. Cox carried a blood soaked axe in the snap, and all the other actors were also dressed for battle.

“The Last Kingdom” Season 4 is expected to air some time later this year, but the producers haven’t announced an exact release date yet. There is still a lot of work left to be done, and the team has asked the fans to be patient.
