BlackBerry is reportedly working on two mid-range Android smartphones after the high-end Priv. Reuters

Recently, John Chen, the CEO of BlackBerry had confirmed that the company will be releasing two new Android smartphones this year. Now, the rumor mill has revealed leaked photos of new Blackberry Android smartphones allegedly codenamed as Rome and Hamburger.

When The National had interviewed John Chen earlier this month, he had admitted that the BlackBerry Priv was launched with a price tag of $700. The $50 discount on its launch price did not assist in improving the BlackBerry Priv sales. He also revealed that the company would be launching two new BlackBerry Android powered smartphones this year that would cost around $300 to $400.

According to Chen, one of the 2016 BlackBerry Android smartphones would arrive with a physical QWERTY keyboard and other one would feature full touchscreen. Times News UK that has revealed the leaked photos of upcoming BlackBerry Android phones that were original posted on 51Blackberry.com, a Chinese website.

BlackBerry Rome

The BlackBerry Rome houses a physical QWERTY keyboard that can be found under its large screen. When it comes to appearance, it resembles the rumored BlackBerry Vienna smartphone.

Speculations suggest that it is fitted with an AMOLED screen. One of the speaker grilles is placed above the screen and the other one is found below the keyboard. A BlackBerry logo can be seen on its topside.

BlackBerry Hamburger

The leaked renders of BlackBerry Hamburger show that it does not feature a QWERTY keyboard. Hence, it could be the full touchscreen phone that Chen hinted. It measures 146 x 78 mm and it sports a metallic body. There is a BlackBerry logo on top of the device.

Below the display, it houses a long speaker grille. The power button is slotted on its left side whereas the right side houses buttons for volume controller. It is expected to release in the second half of 2016 with a pricing of around $400.
