With the record within reach, Hamilton could become the highest paid racer and the greatest ever of all time. Winning has got a lot to do with earning massively in Formula 1, with endorsement deals and bonuses aplenty.

Hamilton earned $54 million in 2020 which ranks him at the 13th spot among the highest paid athletes of 2020. According to Celebrity Net Worth, a big part of his earnings come from his contract with Mercedes-Benz, which pays him $40 million annually. When his endorsement deals are added, it is not surprising the British driver makes this much per year.
