Lewis Hamilton, the current Formula 1 World Champion, explained to media outlets why he is not looking to leave Mercedes for Scuderia.

Lewis said he does not think there will be a lot of driver swapping for the three top teams in Formula 1 in 2021.

The new regulations scheduled for 2021 are an opportunity for some who would like to shake things up in the championship.

However, many of the contracts signed by the drivers are concluding. So some may want to roll the dice and take chances with a title-winning team.

Hamilton claims the top three drivers from Mercedes, Red Bull and Ferrari, will probably stick with their teams.

Hamilton was speaking to Sky Sports F1 during the W11 launch. He said even though he did not know the details of the other driver's contracts; he was sure things would remain the same.

Lewis emphasized, though, that he does not know the exact plans Sebastian Vettel has for the future and that people should get used to the current status quo of things.

There were speculations, though, that Lewis would be moving to the Ferrari F1 team to take Vettel's seat. So far, those rumors have been unsubstantiated.

However, it would be highly unlikely to arrive at a LeClerc and Vettel pair for Ferrari. The two are characterized as alpha drivers, and it would be chaotic to have them in one team scenario.

Lewis, the British born driver, will be locked in negotiations with Mercedes to finalize their new deal for the season.

Hamilton has always been active outside of the F1 championship and remains so. He is currently working with Tommy Hilfiger, and they have put out a fashion line.

He is also a part-owner of a vegan burger joint as well and has other ventures.

If Hamilton were to join Ferrari, he might see his freedom reduced, and it could affect how much time they have for his other ventures.

He pointed out that he would never join a team that would curtail him from being himself.

Hamilton claimed that freedom to him is especially important. Mercedes has embraced this particular fact.

He concluded that Mercedes Team Boss, Toto Wolff, understood what he needed and that the team had been winning championships and drawing in significant sponsorships.

Lewis stated he doesn't see a single bad thing about the way he and the Mercedes team have been performing.
