Anthony Joshua is looking leaner, fitter and more of a boxer after the British slugger posted new photos of him in a popular social sharing platform. The former champion is looking to avenge his TKO loss against the heavyweight newcomer, Andy Ruiz Jr.

Joshua lost his WBA (Super), IBF, WBO and IBO heavyweight titles against the pudgy Ruiz. The British pugilist bowed out of the competition after seven rounds against the first-ever Mexican-American heavyweight champ.

Recently, the 6-foot-6 power puncher shared a picture on his Snapchat looking lighter and leaner months before his first match versus Ruiz Jr.

Many of his fans were thrilled with the transformation. One person commented that he looks more like "a boxer now instead of a powerlifter."

Another user said that the Briton fighter "Looks like he's lost a lot of muscle." Adding that Joshua might "have lost at least 15kg of muscle since his weigh-in for the Ruiz Jr fight."

On June, the highly decorated boxer from Watford, Hertfordshire suffered his first loss in a seventh-round stoppage. The fight was considered as one of the biggest upsets in the history of the sport, with Ruiz becoming the first Mexican-American heavyweight champ.

On their rematch, Joshua aims to avenge his loss on the pudgy Ruiz.

Early reports have stated that the championship match will be held in Saudi Arabia on December 7.

The neutral venue is said to cost $100 million, beating Dubai to host the heavyweight clash. A lot of boxing fans were dismayed with the location, stating that Joshua's decision for choosing the Middle East is "shambolic and a disgrace."

Lately, both boxers were embroiled in a word war after their camps struggled to find a final venue for the rematch. Ruiz Jr. was worried that Brit would fight in the UK, while Joshua played with the idea of "whooping Jr.'s ass" in Tijuana.

In a recent interview, Ruiz Jr. has also planned to trim down ahead of his December 7 rematch against Joshua. The reigning WBA 'super' heavyweight champ said that he intends to fight the British slugger in a lighter and less chunky frame.

The Mexican-American boxer also said that he has already begun his training ahead of time.

Meanwhile, Joshua is dead-serious on becoming a two-time world champion once again. He bared that if you put Ruiz and himself in a machine, "nine times out of ten, I should beat him."

Joshua stated that it was Ruiz's "night, he got the win, and we get to do it again at the end of the year." The former heavyweight king is determined to regain his glory; he asserted that he has "unified the division twice, become heavyweight champion."
