Lili Reinhart recently opened up about being sexually harassed by a much older guy that she went out on a date with.

On her Tumblr account, the star said that she’s breaking her silence over the incident “in light of the Harvey Weinstein allegations.” The producer is being accused of sexually assaulting multiple actresses and models throughout the past couple of years.

In her lengthy post, the “Riverdale” actress said that her “pretty significantly older” colleague forced himself on her while they were out together. “I was a teenager working on a project… when I started to have a crush on a guy I was working with. He was incredibly charming and charismatic – we flirted for a while before we went on our first date,” she said.

Reinhart refused to share specific details about her colleague, as well as the incident itself, because she thinks those are insignificant to her story. But when the guy tried to force himself on her, Reinhart made sure to stop him. “I physically walked away from the situation before it could get any worse. I remember feeling like this was a scene right out of a horror movie,” she said.

After the incident, the older guy asked Reinhart to ride with him in his car, and the actress thought that he would take her home. However, the much older guy started driving towards his apartment. But when the actress told her co-star that she just wants to go home, he reluctantly took her to her own place.

“Thinking back on it now, the situation is hard for me to swallow. I was so young and didn’t know how to handle the situation. I just knew how wrong it felt and that I had been violated. This guy proceeded to tell me that it was my fault for leading him on. Saying that ‘I seemed liked a sexual girl and that I’d be down for it.’ That I misled him,” she continued.

To make things worse, the guy started calling her a “tease” days after the incident. He also dubbed her as “the most manipulative woman I’ve ever met.” Towards the end of her lengthy post, Reinhart said that she’s coming forward about her own experiences to prove how assault is such a common thing in the industry. She added that it’s important to “take action to fight against it.”
