“Riverdale” star Lili Reinhart recently shared her diary from the recent New York Fashion Week – the first ever fashion-related event she attended.

The actress shared a series of photos with caption from her NYFW diary after flying from Vancouver to New York City in between filming for “Riverdale” Season 2. Reinhart also posed while wearing a gown that was designed by Christian Siriano. She also revealed that she was drawn to the designer because of her use of plus-size models.

Just two days before her NYFW diary was published via Elle, the actress sat down for an interview with W magazine to talk about her battle with anxiety. According to Reinhart, she experienced the “worst panic attack” of her life just before landing the role of Betty Cooper in “Riverdale.” At that time, she had to flee Los Angeles and return to her hometown in North Carolina to focus on her mental health.

“I threw up in my Uber because, one, I was carsick, and two, I was having a panic attack. I get home, lock the door in my room, immediately Skype my mom and said, ‘Mom, I’m not okay.’ I had to get a brown paper bag and breathe into it, which felt so dramatic, but I really could not breathe. I felt like my world was crashing. I didn’t want to admit defeat, but I was like, ‘I need to come home. My mental health is suffering, and it is making me feel physically ill,’” she said.

When she got back home, Reinhart revisited her therapist and started taking medication. Around the same time, she got a call to audition for “Riverdale.” “I got my first audition for the show during that period of my life when I was rebuilding myself, and in between meds. I went on a medicine that gave me the worst mood swings – I felt like a monster. My mom was like, ‘I can’t even be in the same room as you,’” she recounted.

Reinhart did not get cast for the character she originally auditioned for, but when she returned to Los Angeles, she received a call to audition for the role of Betty Cooper. “I was so excited to be working and to wake up and know that I had a job,” she admitted.

“Riverdale” Season 2 will premiere on The CW on Oct. 11 at 8 p.m. EDT.
