Lindsie Chrisley will spend the holidays away from her dad Todd Chrisley after they reconciled earlier this year.

Lindsie got candid about her holiday plans in the latest episode of her "The Southern Tea" podcast. The 33-year-old celebrity admitted that she received a lot of questions asking whether or not she would be spending the holidays with her parents, dad Todd and stepmom Julie Chrisley.

"With my parents' sentencing just being a couple of days before Thanksgiving and me having Jackson for Thanksgiving, emotions were very high at that point, and so I just didn't feel it was in the best interest of Jackson for him to go and see my parents in any state that they normally aren't if that makes sense," she explained, People reported.

"They needed time to process, and I wanted to be able to give them that time and very much struggled with giving up spending the time with my parents and having to make a decision as a mother over a daughter like that was a very difficult thing."

She added that her 10-year-old son's behavior is among the factors she considered her decision. Jackson is reportedly very different from her niece, Chloe, who is also 10; he is more difficult to handle.

According to Lindsie, Chloe listens when she is instructed to sit down and watch TV. One will not even notice that she is in the house. However, things are very different when it comes to her son.

"Jackson wakes up, it's like a tornado comes through the house, from the time that he literally wakes up until the time that he goes to bed," she explained. "And so, with that kind of energy going on, and then you know, just not so great news that just wasn't a good combination in my opinion, so I had to make a hard decision as a mom and absolutely hate it."

Todd was sentenced to 12 years in federal prison, and Chrisley got a seven-year sentence for bank fraud and tax evasion. Lindsie, who had been estranged from them for years, said she was "heartbroken" over their sentences.

Lindsie and Todd reconciled earlier this year. According to her, their decision to work on their relationship had nothing to do with her parents' fraud trial or her divorce from Will Campbell. However, she acknowledged that they reconnected "definitely because of my divorce."
