  • Lisa Rinna shared and then deleted a post seemingly accusing Kathy Hilton of paying a marketing expert to plant negative stories about her
  • Patrick Somers claimed he was hired by an "RHOBH" star to "pull attention away from" his client
  • He alleged that he planted stories about a fake lawsuit and fake show

Lisa Rinna deleted her claim that Kathy Hilton allegedly paid a marketing manager to start a feud between the two "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" stars.

On Thursday, Rinna posted — and then deleted — screenshots of a purported Instagram direct message exchange between the Bravo fan account Your Moms Are Watching and marketing expert Patrick Somers that suggested Hilton paid the latter to plant negative stories about the Rinna Beauty founder, Page Six reported.

"I have tea. I just DMed with Patrick Somers, that kid that sent Rinna a text last weekend threatening her," Your Moms Are Watching's initial post began.

"Rinna then posted the text and the kid posted Rinna's number, and it became a big thing. Well, he just admitted to me KATHY HILTON PAID HIM TO DO THIS. …. Turns out he made everything up just to divert focus from the fact that Lisa was calling out Kathy for the slurs she made in Aspen," the account alleged.

Reports surfaced back in March that Hilton allegedly referred to Sutton Stracke's assistant, Josh, using a homophobic slur during the group's trip to Aspen, Colorado, which was filmed for "RHOBH" Season 12, according to Us Weekly. Stracke later denied via social media the claims that Hilton used a slur when talking about her assistant.

Somers did not say whether he was hired to distract from the alleged incident in his DMs with Your Moms Are Watching, but he did claim that he was hired by a "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star to "pull attention away from my client. I did that."

Somers claimed that he planted stories about a fake lawsuit and fake show in order to draw attention away "from what was going on."

In the DMs, the fan account repeatedly asked Somers if he works for Hilton, but he didn't directly confirm it and instead said, "I have signed and [sic] NDA." But when asked if his alleged employer's name rhymes with "Milton," the marketing manager said that it does.

Last month, Rinna posted Somers' phone number on her Instagram Stories after he allegedly threatened to "expose" her, and then he retaliated by doing the same.

He claimed at the time that his feud with Rinna had to do with the fact that "production has started on a series called 'Real Husbands of Sunset' and the series is set to compete with the real housewives and features an all male cast . . . . (me being a member)."

But Somers alleged in an interview with Radaronline.com that the threat sent to Rinna was manufactured and was a plot to draw attention away from one "RHOBH" cast member.

He alleged that his phone number leak was planned and that Rinna's reaction was predicted to a tee. "When you know who you're dealing with, you can expect their move," he told the outlet of Rinna reposting his fake threat to "expose" her with a phone number attached.

As for rumors of Hilton's involvement in the drama, he just said that his role was to let fans believe whatever narrative they wanted.

After Rinna posted the direct messages, Somers took to Instagram to share more details about the job he was allegedly hired to do.

"My latest assignment was executed against Lisa Rinna. I never reveal a clients [sic] personal information per my NDA agreement," he wrote in a since-deleted post on Instagram obtained by Page Six. "My latest marketing campaign was to draw attention away from my client. That's exactly what I did. All narratives associated with my latest campaign are false. I was compensated $27,527.72 for my work."

He went on to claim that all stories in media outlets and tabloids were "planted" by him and that there was "no lawsuit" and "no new reality show." He said he has never met Rinna in person and that what he did was pure work and "nothing personal."

Unnamed sources on both Rinna's and Hilton's sides deny any involvement with Somers, according to Page Six. A rep for Hilton and Bravo did not immediately return the outlet's request for comment.
