Liverpool FC reportedly are not interested in signing 18-year-old forward Talles Magno, who currently plays for Brazilian club Vasco da Gama.

There have been rumors in Brazil stating Liverpool are close to signing Magno, who is tipped to be the 'next Neymar' this summer.

Magno has scored five goals in 10 matches for Brazil Under-17 side and has also played a key role in their World Cup win last year. He has been associated with Vasco da Gama for two years now, having netted two goals in 24 competitive appearances so far.

A report in English publication Evening Standard has claimed that Liverpool are not planning to sign the teenage sensation from Brazil. It is understood that even though Vasco da Gama value Magno at $56 million, they could accept a bid as less as $23 million due to their current financial crisis.

It is understood that the likes of Juventus, Barcelona, Real Madrid, Chelsea, PSG, Lazio, and Juventus are interested in acquiring the services of Magno, who still could head to Europe next season.

Liverpool have already made their first signing of the current transfer window by bringing Kostas Tsimikas from Greek club Olympiacos. The Reds spent $15.3 million for the left-back, who has been brought to Anfield as a cover for Andy Robertson. Jurgen Klopp’s side is also in talks with Bayern Munich in regards to a deal for midfielder Thiago Alcantara.

Liverpool reportedly have made an official offer for Alcantara, who is valued at $35 million by Bayern Munich. The 29-year-old midfielder has won seven league titles with the German side since he arrived at Allianz Arena in 2013 from FC Barcelona.

Klopp and Co. are also interested in Watford forward Ismaila Sarr, who is Sadio Mane’s Senegal teammate. In fact, Sarr idolizes Mane, who has been a star player under Klopp’s reign at Liverpool. However, Watford are expected to demand more than $52 million for Sarr’s transfer despite being relegated to the Championship. It is believed that the club is not in a hurry to sell Sarr and it has an upper hand in the transfer because the player has four years left in his current deal.
