It's official! LL Cool J is set to host the 54th annual Grammy Awards, by himself. That's right: the two-time Grammy winner is making it a one-man show.

While The Grammy awards have been sans host for seven years now, LL ( aka James Smith) should easily rise to the challenge, since he's hosted the live Grammy nominations concert since it began in 2008.

I'm thrilled to be part of music's biggest night, LL said in a statement. I will always have fond memories of my first Grammy Awards, and to now be hosting the Grammy show, in the company of so many other incredible artists, is a dream come true. Great performances and great music - it's gonna be a great night!

The last time the show had a host was when Queen Latifah took on the job for the 47th annual awards. Before her, Jon Stewart hosted the 43rd and 44th telecasts. Other hosts have included Billy Crystal, Ellen DeGeneres and Rosie O'Donnell.

The show will air Feb. 12 on CBS at 8 p.m. EST.
