As chaos hit Britain for a third day, Internet rumors are circulating that people are having their clothes stripped by looters as police attempt to contain the violence, the Daily Mail reported.

Twitter has been abuzz with several unconfirmed reports of people being forced to remove their clothes, while a YouTube video shows a bleeding teenager being robbed in broad daylight.

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police couldn't confirm the reports of people being stripped in Deptford, south London, the Mail said.

In the YouTube video, a teenage boy is shown apparently being assisted by passersby after being spotted injured and bleeding on the ground. Moments later, the passersby help the boy to his feet. As he tries to tend to his wounds, a man in the crowd rifles through his backpack.

The man who is seen below discards several items taken from the boy's backpack and then turns and walks away.
