  • LaMelo Ball has an estimated net worth of $10 million after making his debut in the NBA league
  • LaMelo also has a lucrative $100 million deal with Puma
  • Lonzo Ball was recently traded to the Chicago Bulls with a four-year, $85 million contract

Siblings LaMelo and Lonzo Ball are professional basketball players in the NBA and sons of former professional football player LaVar Ball. The Ball brothers may be sharing the professional basketball scene equally, but which of the two is richer?

LaMelo signed a four-year, $35 million contract with the Charlotte Hornets in 2020, which gave him a guaranteed $16 million and an average annual salary of $8.9 million, as per Spotrac. But the 19-year-old basketball superstar has a much bigger fortune than his contract dictates. LaMelo also has a lucrative deal with Puma worth $100 million that he signed earlier that same year.

The deal reportedly includes access to a private jet. “Puma does have a jet we use for many of our players and, of course, he’ll have access to that jet,” Adam Petrick, Puma’s global director of brand and marketing, said in an interview with Esquire.

LaMelo’s debut in the professional basketball scene was met with him earning an estimated net worth of $10 million. The young superstar was chosen by the Hornets as the third overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft, as per Celebrity Net Worth.

On the other hand, the older of the Ball brothers, Lonzo, has been in the NBA since 2017, when he was selected by the Los Angeles Lakers as the second overall pick. At the time, he was earning an average annual salary of $8.4 million from the four-year, $33.4 million contract, according to Bleacher Report, making him the richer Ball brother based on contracts alone.

Lonzo’s current net worth is estimated to be about $12 million, as per a separate Celebrity Net Worth report, on the back of his most recent deal with the Chicago Bulls worth $85 million. The Bulls finalized a sign-and-trade deal with the New Orleans Pelicans on Sunday night to acquire Lonzo. The Pelicans acquired Garrett Temple Tomas Satoransky, a 2024 second-round draft pick and cash in exchange for the point guard, the Washington Post reported.

The massive deal would give Lonzo an estimated annual salary of $21,250,000 on top of his already sizable income of about $33 million from his first four seasons in the league, Spotrac noted.
